The Place
Trestles is a collection of world-class breaks at the base of the San Onofre State Beach bluffs — accessible only by a half-mile walk from the parking area, which keeps the crowds honest. Lowers, the main break, hosts a World Surf League Championship Tour event every year. Named for the old wooden railroad trestle bridges that cross San Mateo Creek at the trailhead. The walk in is part of it.
